USO2GO

For service members stationed in remote locations where there may not be a traditional USO center, USO2GO kits offer fun diversions and the comforts of home for units serving around the globe.

Developed using feedback from deployed troops, these customizable kits include everything from electronics to gaming equipment. USO2GO kits also include toiletries, snacks, and other necessities that keep our men and women in uniform relaxed and revitalized.

Since the program’s launch in 2008, the USO has shipped more than 21,000 kits, including those delivered to remote places in Lithuania, Estonia, Philippines, Egypt, Djibouti, Jordan, Australia, Kuwait, and North Africa. USO2GO continues to be the program most requested directly from the field that helps our deployed service members relax and recharge.

Recently, Army Captain Matthew Kocher, a logistics officer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, requested a USO2GO kit to augment the offerings available for his unit’s spring deployment. His unit was facing the reality of not even being able to replace basic hygiene items.

“We’re going to be in such conditions where we’re not going to have any sort of…store nearby to resupply on basic hygiene items,” Kocher said. “So the support we’ll be getting from the USO in the field is going to be critical to our troops’ morale throughout the entirety of the deployment.“
