About this Location
The USO at Palm Springs provides a convenient sanctuary for service members traveling to and from a nearby military base to destinations nationally and around the world. Active-duty Marines serving at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) near Twentynine Palms, located about 60 miles northeast of Palms Springs, are the primary customers. Our local Palm Springs volunteers work every day to provide a taste of home in-center and through outreach base support to assist our troops as they serve our nation.
A congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of volunteers to accomplish our mission of connection.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.volunteers.uso.org. You will need to click the box “Volunteer at a USO Center’, and then click “Continental United States”. Next select “California” and “Palm Springs” in the dropdown menus, and then complete and submit the Volunteer Interest Form.
