USO at LAX
Los Angeles International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports, and the USO greets and serves over 100,000 service members and their families per year.
In 2018, our USO at LAX relocated to the historic Theme Building. We estimate 2.7 million troops and military families will visit in the next 20 years, seeking a safe-haven and a touch of home at one of the world’s busiest airports. Our new 7,000 square foot, state-of-the-art airport center was built to support our country’s troops and their families for generations to come.
On our busy days, our center has had more than 1,000 visitors, all weary troops and military families seeking the comforts and connection to home amidst the chaos and stress of travel. A congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of volunteers to accomplish our mission of connection.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.volunteers.uso.org. You will need to click the box “Volunteer at a USO Center’, then click “Continental United States”. Next select “California” and “LAX” in the dropdown menus, and then complete and submit the Volunteer Interest Form.
