The USO located at John Wayne Airport, enables service members and their families to stay connected to loved ones as they travel. Our local volunteers provide nearly 9,000 service interactions through outreach services and programming at Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos, Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, and to the large population of Reservists and Guardsmen in Orange County. Through our center, we meet the needs of the growing military family population in the community, providing dozens of family-strengthening programs, such as dining out events for military spouses, Play 60 camps for military children, family days, BBQs for deploying troops, and holiday events throughout the year.
A congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of volunteers to accomplish our mission of connection.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.USOVolunteer.org. You will need to click the box “Volunteer at a USO Center’, and then click “Continental United States”. Next select “California” and “Orange County” in the drop-down menus, and then complete and submit the Volunteer Interest Form.
