USO West Region Volunteer of the Quarter

We are excited to announce that Scott Sanders from USO California at Ontario International Airport has been named the West Region Volunteer of the Quarter (Q1)!

Scott exemplifies the USO spirit through his unwavering dedication and service. During the recent LA wildfire response efforts in support of the National Guard, Scott went above and beyond by rearranging his work schedule to help transport pallets of water from the USO to National Guard staging areas, ensuring 440 Soldiers had access to critical supplies at a moment’s notice. His commitment didn’t stop there. For several consecutive days, he provided coffee service at the Azusa National Guard Armory ensuring service members felt supported during a demanding and high-stress operation. Scott has also taken the initiative, on multiple occasions, to transport supplies between our Ontario and March ARB USO Centers assisting in supply balancing and ensuring each center is fully stocked to serve those who rely on us. Furthermore, he recently donated his personal time and covered his own expenses to support a training rotation of 1,500 troops at our RUBA Center at Fort Irwin.

Scott’s selfless contributions in logistics, emergency response, and overall service excellence highlight his exceptional ability to support the USO mission and improve the lives of those we serve. We are fortunate to have him as part of our team and deeply appreciate his continued commitment to excellence and service.

Scott, your dedication and generosity inspire us all. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the team! Thank you for your outstanding service. #theUSO
