Fort Irwin USO Bright Minds: Stem Program

In March, USO Bright Minds will get hands-on with chemistry by making colorful, stretchy slime! Participants will mix simple household ingredients to create a brand-new substance, watching in real time as a chemical reaction transforms liquids into a gooey, moldable material completely different from what they started with.

Through this fun sensory activity, children will explore cause and effect, states of matter, and how scientists experiment and test their ideas.

This program is geared toward elementary school–aged kids (activities are typically designed for 2nd–4th grade), and we hope to see your curious-minded little ones there!
